Our 501c3 non profit organization consist of a diverse sisterhood of women ranging in age from 27-61 with 53% having a Bachelors degree, 38% with a Masters and 2% having a Doctorate. We have over 40% members that own a business but range from customer service, healthcare workers and educators. Our diversity brings together resources that strengthen our community IMPACT!
Sister Friends United Inc was founded in October 2007 by Rhonda Aaron and became incorporated in the State of Arkansas with a mission to "empower women to better serve the community"
We are an award winning organization being nominated for multiple awards. Received the 2018 Just Communities Humanitarian Award and 2023 Annie Abrams Community Service Award by King Kennedy Awards.
We focus on empowering women to better serve the community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. Our motto is " United We Stand, United We Make A Difference"
We have provided essential supply bags and hot food for 200 homeless and holiday food boxes, toys and clothes for 75 families in need. We support and volunteer for many non-profit organizations.
Your support and contributions will enable us to continue to provide scholarships for our future minority female leaders. Our organization has provided over $40k in scholarships. In 2023 we've expanded our traditional and non traditional scholarships to now include Pulaski and Jefferson county.
