LaJoy Montgomery serves as the Membership Coordinator. She is committed to welcoming, supporting, and empowering every member. LaJoy holds a special place in the organization as the first and only member to receive our Woman of Excellence Award.
Shona McGehee, Community Service chair leads our organization in the charge to make a difference in our commuity. Under her leadership the organization was awarded the 2023 Annie McDaniel Abrams Community Service Award presented by the Arkansas Democratic Black Caucus during their annual King Kennedy Awards.
Sheree Long, Chair for Benevolence Committee. Sheree is responsible for the nurture and well-being of the members within our organization. She oversees the organization's Annual Hat Luncheon.
Shenitta Shephard, co-chair of the benevolence committee. She is a dedicated member bringing love and laughter to our organization. She co-leads the Annual Hat Luncheon.
Keneshia Jefferson- Chair, for Scholarship Committee. She is responsible for leading the charge to execute and select our traditional and non-traditional recipients that are recognized during the annual Hat Luncheon.
Sister Friends United Inc has provided the Faith scholarship since 2008 and has continued to ensure that our organization has some contribution in supporting the education dreams of our future minority female leaders. We have now expanded our scholarships to include non-traditional scholarships.
Each year our organization host an annual hat luncheon in order to bring awareness and support to another minority non profit organization. This event is hosted during the spring and it is a ball of fun with our famous Hat contest!
We host the Women of Excellence Awards to provide a platform to uplift, inspire and encourage women. We honor 5 women in the community for their career achievement and community commitment.
